On 17th September 2024 the Bosome Freho District Assembly, in collaboration with the Social Welfare and Community Development Department, organized a durbar aimed at empowering persons with disabilities (PWDs) through the provision of essential equipment for economic activities. The initiative aligns with the district’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of PWDs by enhancing their financial independence and capacity to participate in productive ventures.
The main objective of the distribution was to provide PWDs with tools and machines that would facilitate their involvement in small-scale businesses, thereby promoting financial independence and social inclusion. The distribution was part of the government’s broader policy to support marginalized groups and encourage entrepreneurship among PWDs.
