Introduction
As part of the AshantiFest celebrations, a clean-up exercise was conducted in the Bosome Freho District on the 12th of April 2025 to promote environmental cleanliness and public health.
The Environmental Health and Sanitation Department organized the exercise under the leadership of the Head of Department, Mr. Samuel Boanya. The activity was carried out with the support of community members and staff of the District Assembly.
The clean-up exercise took place on 12th April 2025. Key areas targeted during the exercise included:
- The surroundings of the District Assembly
- Public institutions such as the District Court
Volunteers worked collaboratively to remove waste, sweep public areas, and ensure proper disposal of refuse.
Conclusion
The clean-up exercise was successful, with active participation from various stakeholders. It contributed to a cleaner and healthier environment and reinforced the importance of communal responsibility in maintaining sanitation.
