CONFIRMATION OF DCE

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the Bosome Freho District Assembly held a special meeting to confirm Government Nominee, Charles Appiah-Kubi, as the District Chief Executive (DCE). He received unanimous support, polling all 29 votes from the 29 Assembly Members present and voting, representing 100% of the total votes cast.

The election was peacefully conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Joana Ernestina Ekuban, the District Electoral Officer, along with other district officials. Following the confirmation, the District Magistrate, Solomon Kwasi Alomatu administered the oath of office, allegiance, and oath of secrecy, officially ushering Hon. Appiah-Kubi into office.

In his address, Hon. Appiah-Kubi expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Assembly Members for their support and outlined his development vision for the district, focusing on four key areas:

  1. Youth Development through Sports – Empowering young people through active engagement in sports.
  2. Community Engagement – Leading through open dialogue and responsiveness to the people’s needs.
  3. Investment in Education – Enhancing educational infrastructure and support systems.
  4. Grassroots Development – Promoting inclusive development at the community level.

The Hon. Regional Minister was represented by the Regional organizer of NDC, Isham Alhassan accompanied by Lawyer Evans Amankwah, NDC Legal Director.
