Residents of Mamfi in the Bosome Freho District have received a major educational boost as the District Chief Executive, *Hon. Charles Appiah Kubi*, has commissioned a newly constructed ultra-modern 2-unit Kindergarten block equipped with a mechanised borehole. The fully completed project comprises two spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, an office for the headteacher, a storeroom, child-friendly washrooms, and modern furniture designed to make teaching and learning comfortable for pupils at the early childhood stage. The mechanised borehole attached to the facility is expected to solve the water challenges of the school and the immediate community, while promoting hygiene and sanitation among the pupils. Speaking at a short commissioning ceremony held at Mamfi, Hon. Charles Appiah Kubi said the project forms part of the Assembly’s strategic agenda to improve educational infrastructure and eliminate schools under trees and dilapidated structures in the district. According to him, investing in early childhood education is critical to building a strong foundation for children in Bosome Freho. _”This government believes that no matter where a child is born – whether in Accra, Kumasi or Mamfi, that child deserves quality education in a good environment. This is why we are committed to building modern school blocks across the district,”_ he stressed. He charged the School Management Committee, teachers, and the chiefs of the town to ensure proper maintenance of the facility to serve generations yet unborn. On their part, the Chief and elders of Mamfi, together with parents and pupils, expressed gratitude to the DCE and the Bosome Freho District Assembly for coming to their aid, describing the project as a “life-changing intervention.” They noted that for years, Kindergarten pupils had to study in an unconducive structure, which affected enrollment and performance. The ceremony was attended by the District Education Directorate, Assembly Members, Staff of the District Assembly, NDC Constituency Executives, Nananom, teachers, and excited pupils. Hon. Charles Appiah Kubi assured residents that more development projects are underway in the areas of roads, health, and education across Bosome Freho.
