On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, a special meeting of the Bosome Freho District Assembly was held to affirm HON. KOFI ADU AMOATENG as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Bosome Freho District.
Hon.Kofi Adu Amoateng polled twenty -two (22) votes out of twenty-nine (29) members present and voting, representing 75.9% of the total vote cast.
The ballot was supervised by the Ashanti Regional Director of the Electoral Commission Mr. Benjamin Bano Bioh and other officials from the District and Regional office. The exercise was however conducted in a very peaceful atmosphere.
Accordingly, the Ashanti Regional Minister administered the Oath of Office, Allegiance, and Oath of Secrecy to usher Hon. Kofi Adu Amoateng into office. He then took the opportunity to thank the Hon. Assembly Members for their co-operation and support towards a successful meeting and thereafter advised the newly confirmed DCE to create an enabling environment that promotes unity, transparent and accountable administration to leave a legacy behind within his short tenure of office.
The Hon. Regional Minister was accompanied by other dignitaries including Hon. Robert Kwakye -MCE Asante Akim Central, Hon. Alexander Frimpong, MCE Asante Akim South, Hon. Omane Aboagye, MCE Juaso, Chiefs and Elders in the district, the Ashanti south Region-Bekwai, District Police Commander and Heads of Department among others
