The Bosome Freho District Assembly on Wednesday, 26th July, 2023 at the forecourt of the Assembly presented certificate of awards signed by His Excellency the President of the Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to fourteen (14) Health Workers in the District. This was to recognize and appreciate their sacrificial, selfless and dedicated service rendered by the nurses during the fight against COVID-19 pandemic at the pearl of their lives. The Government therefore acknowledged the commitment and professionalism exhibited by these health personnel’s who distinguished themselves and accordingly honoured by the President. The District Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Samuel Kyei-Baffour Frimpong on behalf of the President presented the certificate to the following health officers.

He however congratulated the recipients of these honoring awards for their high sense of selfless effort demonstrated at the height of the pandemic.in the district and further expressed his profound gratitude to the leadership of the Health Directorate for measures put in place to ensure a healthy well- being of people. He indicated that the Assembly would continue to support the directorate as it was done during the pandemic.
The District Director of Health, Ms Francisca Ahiavi on her remarks commended the President for recognizing the effort of the district health officers in the fight of the pandemic and further assured the Assembly that the directorate will continue to be resolute to provide dedicated services to promote quality health care to the people in the district. She indicated that out of the sixty-six (66) names submitted, only fourteen (14) were awarded. She further appeals to the authorities to ensure that the remaining officers also get their certificate to encourage them to put up their maximum best in the sector.
